I’m working on a Graphs question and need guidance to help me study.
Part 1:
For this project assignment, you will use historical retail sales information to determine if there is a clear relationship between mobile technology, sales, and customer satisfaction. You will identify in the data set, specific variables that underscore a correlation. Why is this important? Because you need to understand what specific variables in your data set are related and to what degree.
In other words, you need to understand the drivers behind changes in revenue and customer satisfaction. Since you will not have specific Gimball’s (name of store/business) data to work with, you will model the relationships between data available from the resources below and make an inference that you will use for Gimball’s.
Your task will be to build a regression model using Tableau and your source data. Determine the relationship between mobile technology and retail. Create a regression plot with two or more variables and demonstrate if there is correlation between them. Export your plots from Tableau and include them in your submission
Part 2:
Story Points in Tableau allow you to create a compelling case for the audience. They help you to walk the audience through the steps you took as you analyzed the data. As an analyst, your ability to tell a story using data is an essential skill and how well you are able to do this will influence others. Tableau provides a feature called story points, which is perfect for telling your story with data.
For this lab assignment, you will select the data set(s) you chose in your analysis in order to create your story and share compelling insights for Gimball’s. This is where you show how you took the original dataset, molded into a format that was useful, analyzed the data, and then determined insights based upon what the data indicated. By going through these steps, you are inferring that if Gimball’s takes the actions you recommend will lead to success and achievement of its goals. The data will provide the detail, while the story points at the top should reflect the key themes and insights.
Deliverable: When complete, prepare a 5-7 page lab report that introduces the story points and provides specific snapshots of the story points exported from Tableau as evidence of your use of Tableau and the story point feature.
