I’m stuck on a Writing question and need an explanation.
If you are a tutor who is good at writing papers, I hope you can read these requirements and choose this project after reading the materials I uploaded. If this is not a project you are good at, please do not choose this project. Because this assignment is very important to me, I need you to take the time to answer my questions during the completion process.
The Drug War: A Bigger Picture
What is the drug war actually about? These three readings all offer provocative interpretations that are worth considering, and tie into the three perspectives I’ve laid out.
1. Paley – Drug War as Neoliberal Trojan Horse.pdf
2. Avina – Mexico’s Long Dirty War.pdf
3. Thornton – El Chapo and the Narco-Spectacle.pdf
As you can see from these readings, scholars have consistently challenged the interpretation that violence during Mexico’s “drug war” is simply about drugs and drug trafficking. Yet at the same time, these alternate explanations do not provide easy answers for why violence has reached the levels it has, nor do they offer easy policy solutions to the violence.
After you’ve done these readings, please consider the unit’s reflection question.
You need to answer these questions based on the above materials. Please complete this assignment based on the grading requirements. I hope that if you choose this assignment, you are sure that you are willing to spend enough patience and time to read these materials and then think about these questions, and give a satisfactory answer.
Reflection Question Which of the three perspectives best explains the drug war? Why? To what degree is the drug war about things other than drugs? Why?
A reflection response that earns full credit will:
- Demonstrate engagement with the readings, videos, and other course materials;
- Contain original thought and analysis, and not just summarize or restate ideas from the readings;
- Be approximately 250-400 words long;
