Include topics of short-term and long-term plans to achieve your goals, as well as detailed information about your future, ideal career choice. If you like, include specific details about your family, home life, dreams and goals, etc. to elaborate on your short-term and long-term goals. (You may use 1st person in this essay.)
When you discuss your career choice, you will go to the Occupational Outlook Handbook website, https://www.bls.gov/ooh/. (You may click on the site; it will open in a new window.) In the search box at the website, type in your career of choice, e.g. “Registered Nurse”. For this topic paragraph in your essay, you may include anything interesting you read on the website. For example, their job outlook, what they do, the work environment, how to become one, and /or pay are all good details you might want to include in your discussion. Use only what interests you and pertains to your discussion. Note: NO WORKS CITED IS NEEDED. To reference the source, simply mention in the paragraph, “According to the Occupational Outlook Handbook website,…” or something similar in text.
