Article Summary
The first article must be from an Industrial Psychology (e.g., individual differences, personnel selection). It is the student’s responsibility to find an article that is appropriate for the assignment. The article must be empirical (i.e., the researchers collect and analyze data) and come from peer-reviewed journals.
The summary should be 1-2 pages long and cover the major sections of the article: literature review, method/results, and discussion. The summary should be written for someone who has not taken PSYC 301 before. It may be helpful to imagine your manager as asked you to summarize the article because they do not have the time or skills to read through it. You are not required to discuss any statistical procedures.
At the end of the summary, include a paragraph of your own thoughts/opinions and if you believe there are any practical implications to the article findings.
