I’m stuck on a Social Science question and need an explanation.
- Many people associate the idea of “progress” with the advancement of science and technology, i.e. the more scientifically “advanced” a society is, the more progress has been made. Explain your understanding of what constitutes progress. Over the course of this semester, we have heard various voices, ancient and modern, about what constitutes human progress. What do you think is the dominant concept of human progression that 21st century that is being prioritized and pursued? What exactly is progress for individuals, for society, and for the species? Use two or more readings, lectures, or videos we have consumed in class to define your concept of progress.
