Can you help me understand this English question?
I need to write a 5 minute speech ( 600 words) of essay about perseverance for my Graduate school seminar class. The professor told us to make it sound like a commencement speech. I was thinking about focusing on this quote and writing the remaining speech based on this “Football is a great deal like life in that it teaches that work, sacrifice, perseverance, competitive drive, selflessness and respect for authority is the price that each and every one of us must pay to achieve any goal that is worthwhile.” Vince Lombardi
Brief highlight about me which you can include in essay
– Grew up in Ethiopia (Capital city more people) and attended school in Upstate New York (small town)
– Never really wanted to attend college but now I am graduating from Grad School and graduated from undergrad with two degrees and honors
– Changed my major during Junior year from Computer Science to Economics and Finance (Never too late to what you might have been)
– Never loved school now graduating from a prestigious school (Passion and perseverance)
– Coming from family of 10 to live alone with new friends
– After getting used to the town and city in Upstate New York, I had to move again to a new town and bigger city and meet new friends
– Staying hungry to learn pushed me through my time
– English is a foreign language to me
