Completed Suicide Case Study
Choose a famous person who committed suicide. Using the case study method, provide a brief overview of their life, especially notable life events. Include records of any pervious suicide attempts, or history of mental illness in themselves or their family. Were their warning signs that the individual was suicidal prior to committing suicide? Using the information provided in this unit, were any of the known risk factors present prior to the suicide? Does evidence in the form of letters, diaries, or suicide notes indicate that the individual met any of Beck’s or Shneidman’s cognitive risk factor for suicide? Were resources or support systems available to possibly prevent the suicide? Your case study should be two pages long and include references for your sources in APA format on a separate page.
